  • The SAS Survival Kit: A Not-Only-Geek Must-Have

Gadgets and gear aficionados, here is another meme to take care of…

The smallest yet most useful tools and multi-purpose (think dual-use) implements are the stuff to hunt for. Put your — sometimes expensive — and in any case highly valuable items in an Altoids Mint Tin. The one with the most tools packed and crammed into the standard size — wins. You will have to join the Every Day Carry-crowd and have it on your person 24/7. Know that you could if you would have to…

The kits are often sealed with electrical tape to save the contents from the elements, dust and water. Fortunately there is a needle somewhere, almost always, we’re talking city here. If you do strive for urban survival, don’t forget cash and that cellphone.

We’re searching for the coolest, most versatile and extremely rugged, tiny gadgets and packing them — rattle-free — to be prepared and feel a little hard-core.

You can even buy it pre-packed but without the fun, on the other hand, Tad Gear has some of the finer contents that you would want to obtain.

Update: See The Finest Survival Capsule to play with.
